After receiving my Bachelor’s Degree in college, I was able to hone my skills in a bridal boutique. While there, I worked on some challenging alterations. These included enlarging a bridesmaid dress by five sizes for a plus size client, taking in a unique lace gown for a very petite bride, and restyling a backless wedding gown for a bride who wanted her tattoo covered.

Since starting my business, I have had other interesting and challenging projects. One of these was a gown for a bride who was pregnant. I have made several dresses by making patterns from ready-to-wear dresses. One of these was a Mother-of-the-bride dress shown in my portfolio. More recently, I made a gown that was worn to the 2007 Grammy Awards. Another fun project was to copy the Bob Mackie dress worn by Jennifer Lopez in the movie “Maid in Manhattan”. I have also enjoyed making period costumes and some unique costumes for a local church Kid’s program.
